How do I see what students see in Moodle?

Quick answer
Click your name in the top right to switch to a different Moodle role.

Full answer
To check how your students will see a site, you can switch to “student” role. Please note that this is an approximation of what a student sees (your “lecturer” privileges mean you can’t see exactly what they may see). To do this:

  • Click on your name (top right of the screen).
  • Click “Switch role to…”
  • Select any of the roles available in the list.
  • Your name at the top right should display the role you are currently using.
