How do I release grades and feedback for a Turnitin assignment?

Quick answer
To choose when marks and feedback should be released to students, click the “pencil” icon by “post date”.

Full answer
For Turnitin assignments, marks and feedback are released automatically, when the “post date” is reached. If you want to change this for any reason, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Turnitin submission inbox in Moodle for the assignment you wish to change.
  2. Click the pencil icon by the Post Date to edit the date/time that the assignment is scheduled to release the marks and feedback to students.
  3. Left-click on the white space outside the Post Date area to save it.

An important note on anonymous marking: Anonymous marking is directly linked to the post date of the assignment. If you change the post date of an assignment to publish the grades, then anonymous marking will be disabled for all submissions and student names will be revealed. This is irreversible and re-enabling anonymous marking is impossible at that point.
